Welcome back to Reconnect, the biweekly series that catches up with former MVPs and their current activities.
This week we are thrilled to be joined by none other than five-time titleholder Andy Grogan! Andy is a UK based senior technology leader and author who has worked in IT since 1996.
The former Exchange Server MVP (2009-2013) has worked in a variety of positions with a predominant focus on Microsoft, HP, IBM, Citrix and VMWARE solutions, and a distinct leaning towards Exchange, Active Directory, VBSCRIPT, C#, PowerShell and SQL Server.
Andy is currently the Chief Technical Officer and Head of Enterprise Technology, Systems and Projects of a multi-award winning technology department for the largest local government shared service provider in the UK.
His role oversees 320 staff delivering the strategic direction and operational third and fourth support tiers for three organisations employing more than 47,000 people.
Moreover, Andy has experience working strategically with cloud, hyper-convergence, data centre and devops as part of enabling large scale organizational transformation through technology.
Outside of his professional experience and MVP titles, Andy is a well-known author within the international Exchange community, writing content for publications like TechTarget, MSExchange, and his own personal website Telnetport25.
