Experiencing Alerting failure issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 09/09 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 09/09, 12:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 09/09, 11:55 UTC and that during the 55 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers may have experienced intermittent data gaps and incorrect alert activation in Central India region.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to issue with one of our backend service.
  • Incident Timeline: 55 minutes - 09/09, 11:55 UTC through 09/09, 12:50 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
