Experiencing Data Access issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 12/14 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 12/14, 14:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 12/14, 14:10 UTC and that during the 40 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers may have experienced data access issue and missed or delayed logs search alerts in West US region. 
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to one of our dependent service.
  • Incident Timeline: 40 minutes - 12/14, 14:10 UTC through 12/14, 14:50 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
