How to Utilize Microsoft Approvals

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Microsoft Tech Community - Latest Blogs - .

Greetings to all of our NTA non-profits. This article is going to shed some light on one of our very useful features within Microsoft Teams called Microsoft Approvals.

The title speaks for itself. Microsoft Approvals is an application built right into Microsoft Teams where you can send, receive, and view approval requests sent between you and members of your organization. If you need a document, timecard, inventory request, milage reimbursement or anything else you want approved, Microsoft Approvals makes it very convenient for you to accomplish.

You can access Approvals two ways. You can select the three dots in your Microsoft Teams side menu to reveal more applications and then select Approvals (type Approvals into the search bar if it is not included in the current list), or you can access it right from within your chat conversation.

You’ll start by adding a title, listing your approvers, choosing the urgency of the approval, including any optional notes, and attaching any documents if necessary. Last but not least, don’t forget to press send!

You can access all your sent approvals and check their status in the sent tab.

If you are on the receiving end and need to respond to a Microsoft Approvals request, you can find all requests under the Received tab.

To respond to a request, select which request you want to respond to and then you can choose to either approve or reject the request. You can also select more options to cancel the request, follow up or reassign.
