This is the next segment of our blog series highlighting Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors who achieved the Gold milestone, the highest status level attainable, and have recently graduated from university. Each blog in the series features a different student and highlights their accomplishments, their experience with the Student Ambassador community, and what they’re up to now.
Today we meet Aman Kesarwani, who is from India and recently graduated from the United College of Engineering & Research with a bachelor's degree in information technology.

When you joined the Student Ambassador community in 2021, did you have specific goals you wanted to reach, such as developing a particular skill or quality?
I used to be an introverted student in a small town who feared speaking frankly, but now I am capable of giving speeches to hundreds of students and can freely share my opinions. Had it not been for this program, I don't think I would have been able to become so confident. What boosted my confidence was the monthly calls where I heard people from all over the world talking with so much conviction. This made me ponder that if they could do it, then I could do it as well. Once I was asked to share what I had done after being promoted to the Gold level and I spoke for a good five minutes. I have been impacted in a variety of ways by the community, as it helped me enhance my communication techniques by overcoming my language barrier.
Also, when people around me lacked technical knowledge and skills, I always wanted to help them, share information with them, and guide them in improving their abilities.
What are the accomplishments that you’re proudest of and why?
My journey has been filled with many milestones, but I am most proud of two achievements because they made me believe in community.
The Student Ambassadors program was a big part of my life soon after I joined, but the biggest accomplishment I want to share is that coming from a small town and belonging to a tier-3 college, being chosen as a Student Ambassador is itself an achievement. In addition, I was the college's first Student Ambassador, which I believe can be an inspiration to my peers.
What are you doing now that you’ve graduated?
I have formally started my career as a DevOps Engineer and want to contribute to a community-based program so I can share my knowledge and skills to uplift my peers, as I believe in working together and growing together.
If you could redo your time as a Student Ambassador, is there anything you would have done differently?
If I could rewind time, I would have built more networks and made connections across the globe. I would have interacted and collaborated with people from different countries so I could learn even more.
Furthermore, I’d love to attend more interactive offline workshops, seminars, and informative events, as I’ve currently been taking seminars as the Keynote Speaker, just out of the passion of making people aware and spreading knowledge regarding emerging technologies, but would enjoy attending more
If you were to describe the community to a student who is interested in joining, what would you say to convince them to join?
There is more to the community than just learning new skills. It will help you learn a lot, no doubt, but it will also help you grow personally. It allows you to interact with others, organize events, be a leader, and expand your network. Additionally, it's like a big family where you never feel out of place. What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors?
Make the most of every moment before you graduate. Take advantage of the opportunities you have been given. Explore, learn, and grow. Do know the importance of networking.
What is your motto in life, a guiding principle that drives you?
I personally believe in living in harmony and spreading knowledge by whatever means possible.
This is one of the major reasons why I’m passionate about teaching and spreading awareness.
As stated earlier, I belong to a small town, and people there don’t open up willingly, thus remaining uneducated and facing problems for the sole reason of lacking basic education.
Though it may seem impossible, I want to give basic education to everyone, as education opens doors, and it has been rightly said that if your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.
I believe in giving my best. I believe in it because hard work always pays off — it never goes to waste. If we put our heart and soul into something, it always comes back in a positive form.
What is one random fact about you that few people are aware of?
I love listening to Krishna Vani (flute version), which relaxes my mind a lot from distractions like greediness and the illusions of this century.
