Content releases for April-June 2023

Overview

For the last quarter, Microsoft Viva Goals has focused on building strong content around best practices to support a healthy goals program. At the end of last quarter, we launched: Viva Goals Solutions- Discover goal-setting best practices with Viva Goals.

This quarter we have continued to grow these best practices and have developed content around five major categories:

  • Create Goals and OKRs This area targets one of the biggest blockers to a successful OKR program, which is getting your Objectives, Key Results, and Initiatives written in a simple and comprehensive way that rolls throughout your organization.
  • Collaborate with Viva Goals This area focuses on how to align your OKRs with your organization to help promote transparency and accountability across your separate teams and departments.
  • Check-in and track Goals This area teaches how to build efficiency through check-ins to make sure goals are updated and progress is rolling through your organization.
  • Close and score Goals This area demonstrates how to score and reflect on OKRs and Initiatives that have reached the end of their cycle and provides the tools for reviewing and restarting the OKR process in a new cycle.
  • Business rhythms and dashboards This area focuses on the best ways to incorporate OKRs into your business rhythms. One of the most useful sections here is a series of templates with widget recommendations for building Dashboards in Viva Goals.

This quarter we have taken this structure and built it out to include overviews, common OKR program issues, and recommendations on how to improve in each area.
