New FY24 Incentives for ISVs including richer earning opportunities

Our FY24 ISV incentives feature richer earning opportunities for driving billed sales of transactable offers on Marketplace and driving Azure consumption growth through core and strategic workloads. Please read this message carefully, review relevant links, and sign up for one of the upcoming ISV partner incentives webinars.

The webinar will cover the following incentives:

  1. Marketplace Transact and Grow Incentive Campaign: In this incentive campaign, Participants can earn up to $200,000 USD meeting billed sales milestones. The incentive consists of four levers. Each Participant – determined at the marketplace publisher level – can earn incentive on up to 4 offers per incentive lever during the Program Term.

Lever 1: Core Billed Sales Incentive

USD $10,000 is awarded when a transactable offer achieves a cumulative marketplace billed sales total of USD $25,000 during the Program Term. Only offers with cumulative marketplace billed sales total of less than USD $25,000 during the previous fiscal year (1 July 2022 – 30 June 2023) are eligible for this incentive.

 

Lever 2: Azure IP Co-sell Billed Sales Incentive

USD $20,000 is awarded when a transactable offer with Azure IP Co-sell eligible status achieves a cumulative marketplace billed sales total of USD $25,000 during the Program Term. Only offers with cumulative marketplace billed sales total of less than USD $25,000 during the previous fiscal year (1 July 2022 – 30 June 2023) are eligible for this incentive.

 

To earn Lever 2 incentive, the offer may reach USD $25,000 in billed sales first and then achieve Azure IP Co-sell eligible status; or, the offer may achieve Azure IP Co-sell eligible status first, and then reach USD $25,000 in billed sales. Only offers with active Azure IP Co-sell eligible status on the last day of the earning quarter as recorded by Microsoft internal systems and tools are eligible for lever 2 incentive.

 

An eligible marketplace offer can earn on both lever 1 and lever 2.

Lever 3: Transactable Teams Apps Billed Sales Incentive

USD $10,000 is awarded when a transactable offer linked to a Teams app achieves a cumulative marketplace billed sales total of USD $10,000 during the Program Term. Only offers linked to a transactable Teams app on the last day of the earning quarter as recorded by Microsoft internal systems and tools are eligible for lever 3 incentive.

 

Lever 4: Transactable Business Application and Power BI incentive

USD $10,000 is awarded when a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement offer or an Azure PowerBI Visual offer achieves a cumulative marketplace billed sales total of USD $10,000 during the Program Term.

 

An eligible marketplace offer can earn on both lever 3 and lever 4.

 

  1. ISV ACR Growth Incentive Campaign: In this incentive campaign, participants can earn up to $350,000 USD (maximum $175,000 USD for FY24 H1 and $175,000 USD for FY24 H2) by driving quarter-over-quarter growth in eligible ACR. Eligible ACR is defined as Azure Consumed Revenue coming from SaaS solution built on partners’ own Microsoft Azure subscription and from IaaS/PaaS solutions published as transactable Virtual machine & Azure apps on Marketplace and deployed on customer tenants. 

The incentive consists of two payment levers:

  • Core incentive: 15% of ACR QoQ growth up to $100,000 USD in FY24 H1 (1 July 2023 – 31 December 2023) and up to $100,000 USD in FY24 H2 (1 January 2024 – 30 June 2024)
  • Strategic workload accelerator: 15% of ACR QoQ growth in the strategic workloads up to $75,000 USD in FY24 H1 (1 July 2023 – 31 December 2023) and up to $75,000 USD in FY24 H2 (1 January 2024 – 30 June 2024).

The eligible strategic workloads are: API Management, Azure Spring Apps (Cloud), Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, Logic Apps, Functions, Azure Load Testing, Azure Data Factory v2, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Factory, Azure Cognitive Search, Cognitive Services, Azure Synapse Analytics (*Fabric), Power BI Embedded (*Fabric), Azure Databricks (*Fabric), Advanced Data Security, Advanced Threat Protection, Azure Defender, Azure IoT Security, Security Center, Sentinel, Azure NetApp Files, Azure Site Recovery, Specialized Compute.

 

  1. Azure Migrate and Modernize Partner-led for ISV: Azure Migrate and Modernize (AMM) helps accelerate and simplify customer migration and modernization projects. In this engagement, qualifying ISV partners will provide expert guidance to execute an engagement to move end-customers to their solutions built on Azure and earn up to $50,000 USD per engagement based on the estimated ACR impact. It can include migrating customers to the partner’s SaaS or BYOL offering on Azure. The engagements need to be delivered by the ISVs’ in-house professional services team.

The partners are required to perform specific milestones in the AMM project the following activities:
1. Application Compatibility Assessment/Review

2. Migration/Modernization activities

  • Small engagement

o   Project size: $25K – $125K/year planned Azure consumption

o   Partner payment: $15,000 USD for Market A* or $12,000 USD for Market B*

  • Medium engagement

o   Project size: >$125K – $250K/year planned Azure consumption

o   Partner payment: $35,000 USD for Market A or $28,000 USD for Market B

  • Large engagement

o   Project size: >$250K – $500K/year planned Azure consumption

o   Partner payment: $50,000 USD for Market A or $40,000 USD for Market B
