Microsoft and Oracle are excited to announce that we’re expanding the general availability for the Azure United Kingdom South region in London.

With Oracle Database@Azure now available in the UK South, Germany West Central, and US East regions with two Azure availability zones, businesses in the US and Europe can meet the performance, compliance, and business continuity needs of their critical enterprise workloads in a region near them. We have 12 more regions planned for general availability by the end of 2024. Oracle Database@Azure enables organizations to run Oracle databases seamlessly within Microsoft Azure, providing low latency for high-performance apps, data, and services.

With a relentless focus on meeting customer expectations for data protection and resiliency, Oracle Database@Azure offers a robust suite of solutions and certifications tailored to disaster recovery and high availability needs. Recently, the Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) engineering team validated the Gold and Silver tiers for Exadata Database Service, running in Oracle Database@Azure. Other new options include the data replication service Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Zero Downtime Migration, and a comprehensive reference architecture designed to streamline adoption of Oracle and Microsoft best practices.
