Experiencing Data Latency issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 06/07 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 6/7, 12:41 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 6/7, 11:15 UTC and that during the 1 hour and 26 minutes that it took to resolve the issue. Some customers using Application Insights components in Norway West region may experience intermittent data gaps and incorrect alert activation.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to the dependent backend service which went into unhealthy state.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We continue to investigate issues within Application Insights. Root cause is not fully understood at this time. Some customers using Application Insights components in Norway West region may experience intermittent data gaps and incorrect alert activation. We are working to establish the start time for the issue, initial findings indicate that the problem began at 06/07 ~11:15 UTC. We currently have no estimate for resolution.
