Starting next week in Azure Data Factory, you will see the following updates to Azure Data Factory!
Flatten transformation in mapping data flow
Use the new flatten transformation to denormalize your hierarchical arrays . Select an array to unroll into individual rows.
This transformation will be found under 'Schema modifiers'. For more information, see the flatten transformation documentation.
Dynamic content in wait activity
Use expressions, variables and parameters to dynamically evaluate the 'wait time in seconds' field of the wait activity. No longer do you have specify a hard coded value.
Publishing improvements in 'Data Factory' mode
When not configured to a git repository, you will now see a list of edited resources when clicking 'Publish all'.
This has been available when git is configured for some time. For more information, see source control in ADF .
Improvements to tumbling window trigger dependency monitoring
Two improvements have been made to the tumbling window trigger monitoring experience.
-
The list view for tumbling window trigger dependencies now displays the same information as the Gantt view
-
The Gantt chart will display timestamp for individual windows
For more information, see the tumbling window trigger dependency documentation.
If you have a feature request for ADF, post on our feedback forum!
