Call Summary

Summer break and community call schedule updates reviewed.  Preview the new Microsoft 365 Extensibility look book gallery.  Looking to get started with Microsoft Teams development?  Don’t miss out on our Teams samples gallery (updated sample browser in June), and the new Microsoft 365 tenant – script samples gallery - scripts for PowerShell and CLIs.  Sign up and attend one of a growing list of events hosted by Sharing is Caring this month.  Announced PnP Recognition Program and availability of Power Platform Samples.  Project releases this week - PnP .NET Libraries - PnP Framework v1.6.0, PnP .NET Libraries - PnP Core SDK v1.3.0 and PnP PowerShell v1.7.0.

Demos delivered in this session

• Power Platform Tips & Tricks – collaborate in a Power App within a Microsoft Teams meeting using Main Stage (Developer Preview) – that allows app content from meeting side panel to take full screen.   Requires minor modification to manifest file – create option to add app to side panel.  Upload custom app to Teams, create new meeting, add app to meeting sidebar, broadcast app to Main Stage.     

• List Formatting Enhanced Web Part​ – specifically the Enhanced List Formatting web part delivers extensibility over the OOB List web part to enhance CSS Styles only on selected pages rather than across site collection.   Allows you to use pseudo classes and elements along with animations.   Add CSS Styles in Property pane.  CSS only, no JS.   Examples shown include hover effects (animations), transform labels, community Polaroids, and custom fonts.

• List Formatting Magic​ – getting started with Lists?  Use richly formatted list templates and designers from Microsoft, along with PnP samples.  Customize newly created list for org - add/delete and format columns, add and stylize font, set colors, add data.  Use Wizards and jump into Advanced mode anytime.  Much can be learned from OOB script and schema in a template.   Simpler add date math expressions reviewed as well.
