Experiencing Data Gaps issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 10/29 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/29, 13:08 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/29, 12:25 UTC and that during the 43 Minutes that it took to resolve the issue customers with workspace-enabled Application Insights resources in East US2 REGION may have experienced intermittent log data gaps and incorrect alert activation.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to one of our dependent service.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
