We are excited to announce that we have now shipped capability for Teams Mobile iOS users to let users search their custom enterprise content, powered by Graph Connectors!  It is the first mobile experience to integrate graph connectors content into search. Teams Mobile Android will follow soon.

Product value

Teams’ customers are now able to search for 3P content within Teams App on the move, easily leverage workplace search from mobile, complete workflow within a hub app. This takes us further in our mission to empower users to find and collaborate with any workplace entities in TM search, with no need to switch to or download different apps/clients - Find whatever you need, collaborate wherever you are!

We believe that this ability will help increase the value of Teams as a M365 hub as well as enable easy Graph connector content access. This addition increases the value proposition of Microsoft Search with deep integration into widely used Teams.

User experience

In addition to results from Teams activities, users will also be able to discover something new and useful, powered by graph connectors set up by tenant admin. Users can view the content within Teams and share it for collaboration.

The verticals are the same as defined by tenant admins in the Admin center for workplace search. The content renders with a default card layout. Please ensure to apply labels (IconURL, LastModifiedDate, Description, Title) to your managed properties for best render experience.

We are starting with connector results in verticals and have plans to bring connector results on All tab.

Microsoft Graph connectors

Microsoft Graph connectors allow you to bridge your disparate data sources into Microsoft 365, giving you access to what you need, wherever you’re working. Using Graph Connectors, you can bring in information from SaaS systems or on-prem file-shares or servers into Microsoft 365. By having all your content accessible in endpoints like SharePoint, Office.com, Bing.com and now Teams mobile, you reduce the overhead of context switching by keeping the information you need at your fingertips.
