The Power Apps Africa Challenge is a training ground for tech enthusiasts to build a valuable skill that makes them problem solver. It is an exciting 3-week game specially designed to cultivate Microsoft Power Platform skills across Africa.

  • 31 countries in Africa are represented- do your part and help your country perform well.
  • 38 coaches involved to cheer you on, and assist you at each step

LOG IN AND START NOW: (VERY IMPORTANT)

  • The first few missions are easy and quick to complete.
  • People are already earning points and coins in the platform, and purchasing tickets to win prizes- don’t delay, join in the fun!

  • Missed registering? Join the User Group and participate in Community Challenges (and win prizes), and keep informed about how the competition is going

  • Contact us via private message in the User Group (and include your full name so we can troubleshoot)
  • Questions about points on the leaderboard were resolved during the weekend- your points on the leaderboard should match the sum of points you’ve earned so far.
  • We’ve seen your messages and are doing our best to respond quickly

 

GAME ACTIVITY

  • 10 missions are live!
    • 4 orientation missions from the pre-game phase
    • 5 missions from last week (skill building on a variety of topics and exploring templates, and an introductory mission to meet our players)
    • Today’s mission just opened this morning, so log into Centrical and complete it now
  • Haven’t completed your missions yet? This week’s missions are still open- you have this week to complete your missions to have them count in the leaderboard competition.
  • Please stay on track and complete your missions in order, and progress steadily each day. (This is the best way, it’s the way we designed the game)

 

COMMUNITY CHALLENGES

  • In the User Group- we started last week.
  • Open to anyone in Africa- You just have to be a member of the user group to join- it’s free and easy to sign up.
    • 3 challenges with 6 winners: Laptop bags, travel mugs and wireless mice
    • Sponsored by Computer Revolution Africa and Reliance Infosystems
  • Today we have another “Jump Start Challenge,” a mini Cloud Skills Challenge on PL-100 content.
    • Finish it by tomorrow- you could win  a 10,000mha Power Bank from Reliance Infosystems
