Kusto Emulator on Linux

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: New blog articles in Microsoft Community Hub.

I am excited to announce the availability of the Linux version of the Kusto Emulator!

We released the Windows version of the Emulator last September.  You can use it to develop locally on your laptop or run automated tests on a CI/CD pipeline.

Today you can do the same with a Linux Container.  What does that change?

First, you can run it on a Linux machine (while Windows Containers must run on Windows).  This is especially useful for CI/CD pipeline.

Second, its size is much smaller, making it much faster to load.

It is the same emulator, i.e. the Kusto Engine endpoint, packaged in a container, now a Linux container!

See the announcement here and consult our documentation to get started!
